Peardeck...Civil War -please click this link to view the Peardeck. The Peardeck meets the requirements for this assignment.
I have used Peardeck on multiple occasions this year. The students love it and I love it too. Peardeck keeps the students engaged in what is being talked about in the classroom. They view the slides on their chromebooks and the responses are shown on the large screen in the front of the room along with the presentation. This tool helps to keep students on task and paying attention through the lesson. I like to use this when lecture is necessary.
Peardeck also allows for student participation in a variety of ways. They can respond using multiple choice questions, short answers or even drawings! This is great for student engagement :)
I'm excited to use it with my classroom set of Chrome Books! I couldn't open your Pear Deck? Is there a setting it needs to be on?
ReplyDeleteHey- This looks amazing, but I am already stuck:( When I try to view, it says "teacher view"... I tried logging as a teacher to access, but no-go. I will check back and try again later.
ReplyDeleteI think I fixed it Michelle....sorry for the trouble.

DeleteI love how you use your PearDecks to allow students a chance to reflect with open ended questions. Do you ever use the open-ended questions as part of an assessment?

ReplyDeleteApril, you are such a creative and hard working teacher. I love your lessons.
ReplyDeletePeardeck is the tool I'm most excited about using with Chromebooks this year. Do you know if students can run the presentation on their own, or do they need to be in a session with someone presenting?
ReplyDeleteNice work.
April, Love the peardeck! How often do you use a Pear Deck in your teaching? Do you find them cumbersome to create?
ReplyDeleteI am also curious if Pear Deck is cumbersome to create. I do like the variety for student participation.
